Privacy Policy

The short version: your guest list stays in your own browser. We never receive it.

Your seating plan and guest list

When you paste a guest list and arrange seats, all of it — names, tables, seat assignments — is held in your browser's local storage on the device you are using. It is not uploaded, not transmitted to us, and not stored on any server we control.

Two consequences follow, and both matter:

• We cannot see your guest list. If you email us for help, we will not be able to look at your plan; you would have to describe it or send us an export.
• We cannot recover it either. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, or switching device will delete the plan. There is no cloud backup in this version. Export a copy before the day.

If your browser refuses to save (private mode, or a full storage quota), the editor tells you so instead of silently pretending the plan was saved.

What we do collect

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count page views and to see which parts of the tool people actually use — for example, how many visitors load a guest list, and how many reach the export step. These events record counts and timings only. They never include guest names, table labels, or any content of your plan.

Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data on Google's infrastructure. See Google's privacy policy.

Server logs. Our host, Cloudflare, records standard request information (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention.

Payments

The editor is free. If you buy a print pack, the payment is handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card number. Stripe collects your email address for its receipt and tells us that a session was paid. We store nothing about you beyond that confirmation.

We do not email the print pack to you, because we never have it: the PDF is built in your own browser from the plan on your own device, after Stripe tells us the purchase completed. Your guest list is not sent to us in order to buy it, and it is not sent to Stripe either.

Cookies

• Analytics cookies, as described above.
• A local-storage entry (wsc.plan.v1) holding your seating plan. This is not a cookie and is never sent to a server.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Deleting your data

Your plan: clear your browser's site data for weddingseatchart.com, or use the "Clear seats" control and close the tab. That is the whole of it — there is nothing on our side to delete.

Analytics: Google provides an opt-out browser add-on.

Your rights

If you are in the UK, EU, or another jurisdiction with data protection rights, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, or object to processing. Given that we do not hold your guest list, in practice this concerns analytics and any purchase record.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
