Every guest seated. Nobody left off the chart.
Paste your guest list, drag people onto tables, and let us check the plan before it reaches the printer — nobody seated twice, nobody left off, no seat that no longer exists. Who sits beside whom is still your call; we do not decide that.

Your copy of the plan
This plan is saved only in this browser. Clearing your browsing data, using private browsing or switching device will delete it, and we cannot recover it for you — so keep a file.
We check four things before you export: nobody is seated twice, nobody on your list is missing a seat, every seat in the plan is a seat that actually exists, and nobody you marked to keep apart is sharing a table. Table capacity is enforced as you place people, so it cannot be exceeded. We do not decide who should sit with whom — that judgement is yours, and marking a pair gets you a warning rather than a rearrangement.
Three steps, one evening
- 01
Paste your guest list
One name per line, straight out of your spreadsheet. Nothing is uploaded — the list stays in your browser.
- 02
Drag people onto seats
Click a name then a seat, or drag it across. Click an occupied seat to free it again when the RSVPs change.
- 03
Check, then take it away
Before you export we check four things: nobody seated twice, nobody left off, no seat that no longer exists, and nobody sharing a table with someone you marked to keep apart.
What we check before you print
Four checks, run every time your plan changes. They catch the mistakes that are invisible on screen and obvious on the day. Table capacity is not on this list because it is enforced while you place people — it cannot be exceeded.
- Seated twice
- The same guest showing up at two tables — easy to do when you rearrange late.
- Left off
- Someone on your list who never got a seat at all.
- A seat that is not there
- A restored plan pointing at a table or seat you have since removed.
- A pair you wanted apart
- Two people you marked to keep apart who have ended up at the same table.
What we do not do: decide who should sit with whom. Marking a pair to keep apart gets you a warning, never a rearrangement — an automatic solver has to pick who gets the worse seat instead, and that is your call, not ours.
When the plan is done
The editor is free and stays free. The finished thing — a seating sign your printer can use, place cards for every guest, and a table list for the caterer — is a one-time $12 purchase, built in your browser from the plan you just made.

Written from their public pages in August 2026. Two of these are genuinely free and better than us at some things — you should know that before you spend anything here.

Questions
- Is it really free?
- Yes. The editor is free with no guest limit, up to 40 tables and no account, and it exports a CSV and a printable chart for nothing. The one paid thing is the print pack — a $12 one-time PDF of the seating sign, place cards, table numbers and the caterer handoff sheet. Nothing in the editor is behind it.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Open the page and start. Your plan is saved in your own browser, not on our servers — which also means clearing your browser data deletes it, so export a copy before the day.
- Can it keep two guests apart?
- It will tell you, but it will not do it for you. Mark a pair as "keep apart" and you are warned if they end up at the same table. Actually seating people automatically from rules is a different thing, and this tool does not do it — the empty-seat filler goes in list order. Other seating tools do solve from rules, so compare if that is the part you need.
- What exactly does it check?
- Four things, every time the plan changes: that nobody is seated twice, that nobody on your list was left without a seat, that every seat in the plan still exists (a restored plan can point at a table you have since removed), and that anyone you marked as "keep apart" is not sharing a table. Table capacity is enforced as you place people, so it is not something we have to check afterwards.
- How many guests can it handle?
- There is no cap on guests. Tables go from one to forty, which covers a 400-seat room at ten to a table. The default is twelve tables of ten — about 120 guests, roughly the US average.
- Can I pay you for anything right now?
- Yes, one thing: the print pack, $12 paid once, never a subscription. It is a large-format seating sign PDF sized for a print shop, place cards laid out for batch printing, table numbers, and a table-by-table list for the venue or caterer — generated in your browser from the plan you already made. The editor itself is not for sale and never will be.
- Is my guest list private?
- Your list never leaves your browser while you are building the plan. We do not store names on our servers. Analytics record that a plan was built and how many guests it had — never who they are.
