About WeddingSeatChart

WeddingSeatChart does one thing: it lets you arrange your wedding guests at tables in the browser, and checks the plan before you print it. Your guest list never leaves your device — it is held in your own browser, not on a server, which also means we cannot see it and cannot recover it for you.

Why the editor is free

All the work happens in your browser, so there is no per-use cost to cover. The editor stays free with no account and no guest limit, and its CSV and print exports cost nothing. The one paid thing is the finished article — a seating sign your printer can use, place cards, and a table list for the venue — as a one-time $12 purchase, never a subscription. It is built in your browser too, from the plan you already made, so buying it does not send your guest list anywhere either. Nothing in the editor sits behind it.

What it checks, and what it does not

Before you export, four things are checked: that nobody is seated twice, that nobody on your list was left without a seat, and that every seat in the plan actually exists. Those are the mistakes that look fine on screen and become obvious on the day.

It does not decide who should sit with whom. You can mark two people as “keep apart” and the checks will warn you if they end up at one table, but nothing here rearranges the plan to satisfy that — an automatic solver has to choose who gets the worse seat instead, and that is the one judgement only you can make. Other seating tools do seat from rules, so it is worth comparing if that is the part you need.
